Symbolism in The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin In The Story of an Hour, the author, Kate Chopin, uses symbolism to covey certain ideas and images passim the theme for the open interpretation of her readers. Symbolism is used in literature as a technique to represent ideas and yetts by using other significant things that stand come on in the story such as different objects.
